Goofs

The cameraman's shadow visible during a close-up of the hatchet hammer lying on the sheetrock.

Malfaitor strikes Brandon vertically on the forehead with the axe, but when Jim finds him, the would is horizontal across Brandon's face.

The POV shots of Linda's hands are different from the side-angle when she's possessed by Malfaitor.

You can see where the lines on the ropes holding the barrels are marked to break.

When Zarabeth is being chased up stairs by the as yet unidentified spirit, you can see the shadow of a cameraman and a mic boom.

After Linda found her diamond ring in the bathroom sink drain, James shows up and startles her.

At one point, you can see James in the mirror with his mouth moving but his voice couldn't be heard.

In the third act when the "spirit" cam cranes up to the second floor bedroom and into the window, you can see the set lights reflected in the window, the bedroom mirror and the bathroom mirror.

When Linda is possessed and attacking James towards the end, he stabs her to fight her off, and you can see obvious padding under her pants where the knife was stuck.

Though out the movie Linda's fingernail polish changes from red to clear When the guys are in the library looking at the scans, the name of the cemetery of the child's burial is different from the name that is announced out loud.

Additionally, if you look closely, the text constantly repeats itself on the page.

Throughout the movie, the child's spirit is said to be 10 years old.

However, the birth/death dates later seen on his tombstone reveal him to have been born in October 1945 and died in August 1955 -- making him a few months shy of age 10.

Directed By Kevin Tenney Witchboard is Surely One Hell Of Horror With a Mixed Of a Thriller And a Slasher Tone To it As Woman Suddenly Plays An Oujia Game Board All By Herself What Stars Off Good Then She Finds Herself Being Haunted By a Evil Spirit Who Long Time Ago Killed People With An Axe And Who Completely Lives Within inside The Portal Of The Oujia Game Board With Some Of Her Boyfriend's Friends Being Killed in Horrible Ways And it's Up To Two Old Best Friends To Save The Woman in There Lives And Find a Way To Destroy Somehow The Oujia Game Board And To it's Evil Spirit That it's inside The Board. Witchboard Was Truly a Little Bit Scary But a Fun Film So if You And Your Friends Wanna See a Good Fashion Kinda Spooky Movie Well Witchboard is Sure To Be The One Flick That You And Friends Well Enjoy.

Writer / director Kevin S. Tenny ensured cult genre status for himself in the 1980s with this film and "Night of the Demons".

"Again with the Evil!"The production is dodgy, the lighting is all over the place.

This 1986 horror film stars Todd Allen, Tawny Kitaen and Stephen Nichols. The film begins at a party where we meet architect, Jim (Allen), his girlfriend, Linda (Kitaen) and former best friend, Brandon (Nichols) where they use a Ouja board to contact a deceased young boy, David.

I'm an 80's kid and love it. This show is not just low budget, but the acting is horrible!

Zarabeth seems to have an affinity for heights, and plummeting from them, as she is called back for an encore performance in "Color of Night." The pretence of using a Ouija board with any seriousness is eclipsed by the unconvincing plot of the movie.

I still remember my friends talking about the surprisingly good "Witchboard" when it first came out in 1986. 28 years later, it still both holds up well and reminds viewers of the cheese served up in the greatest decade of horror.

The first thing I noticed was some poor acting and bad lines. It is a mostly decent production and certainly watchable, but also a serious cheese fest, of course not uncommon for films from the decade.

Auburn vixen Linda (Tawny Kitaen) has split with whiny rich guy Brandon (Stephen Nichols) and taken up with hard-drinking bozo Jim (Todd Allen). Brandon and Jim, formerly friends now hate each other.
