Biography

Tye Nelson, began his journey into acting after meeting several professional actors during a screen-writing class he was taking at the University of Utah in 2000. Discovering his passion, Tye continued to train as an actor while studying for his film degree. Years of working on independent and student films alongside fellow actors and friends Charles Halford , have helped Tye grow as an actor, professionally as well as personally. In 2006, Tye played a supporting role in an award winning STAR WARS fan favorite short film,"Pitching Lucas", where he and three other executives had to sell George Lucas on a few quirky ideas for a new "Star Wars" television series. "Pitching Lucas" won, both the "George Lucas Selects Award" as well as the "Audience Choice Award". Tye is currently cast in the upcoming sci-fi film Alienate, while taking a deeper exploration into the roots of acting, studying the masters under the tutelage of Larry Silverberg, a student of Sanford Meisner, expanding his knowledge and exploring character.
