Grew up in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Graduated from Duke University.
Is one of three actors from the Batman films to also appear in the Hannibal Lecter films. Tracey Walter appeared in Batman and The Silence of the Lambs , Gary Oldman appeared in Hannibal and Batman Begins , and Brake appeared in Batman Begins and Hannibal Rising .
Attended Western Reserve Academy (Class of 1983) in Hudson, Ohio.
His family emigrated to Atlanta, Georgia from South Wales in 1967.
His first ever acting role was as Judge Danforth in Arthur Millers The Crucible while a student at W.R.A. in 1982.
Studied acting in New York at the Michael Chekhov Studio under Jim Boerlin and Beatrice Straight and in London at The Mountview Theatre School and the School for the Science of Acting under esteemed acting teacher Sam Kogan.

(June 2008) Editing his first film he wrote and directed, entitled "Adam".
Garnered his role as coroners assistant Gary Scott in Rob Zombies Halloween 2 based on a personal recommendation to Zombie from Sid Haig.
