Mostly remembered today as the father of 'Anthony Perkins . The highlight of his stage career was starring in the hit "The Front Page" as Walter Burns at the Times Square Theatre in 1928. Despite his status on Broadway, he was considered merely a character actor in Hollywood and died far too young of a heart attack at age 45.
