The movie used children's perspective to look at the issue of child abuse. Using adorable animation and seemingly hyperbole to address the cruel scenes of child neglect, making me felt empathetic towards the Willoughbys but without messing my mood.

Based on one of a funny satirical book by Lois Lowry under the same name, Kris Pearson's animated movie 'The Willoughbys' is now streaming on Netflix. This is a story of four siblings who are abandoned by their parents for having childish needs like food, sweater, love and taking in an orphan.

I like watching animated movies with my son because they normally give lessons or morals from which we can build healthy conversations. However, I find this movie very cruel, and it was awkward having to discuss that some parents would be just like that, and with no consequences.

The Willoughbys is a style of animated film that simply doesn't work for me. The way the humor is presented is so frenetic, fast-paced, and odd that I never even chuckled.

Hate Ricky Gervais to the point his voice makes you want to stab your ears with hot pokers? Yep, me too!

The Willoughbys is one of our very favorite books. It's charming, witty, and clever.

It's based on a book by Lois Lowry....she's great.

The animation and progression of the story is nice, but i found the main plot to be lackluster.
