Story fair, acting good BUT...we have ADC(America's Dumbest Criminals), this film portrays BDC&C(Belgium's Dumbest Criminals & Cops).

It's often the case that 'B' pictures from the 1940s, 50s 60s make for very unsatisfying viewing nowadays but occasionally some titles pop up which are true gems and I'd certainly put The Break into that latter category.Although its core premise of all-round decent guy chancing upon a violent, escaped prisoner isn't especially exceptional, this 77min b&w film finds all of its contributors at the top of their game and rises comfortably above the average fare.

The high ratings of The Break are astonishing, considering how amateurish it really is. I have to wonder if they watched the same Season Two I did (did not watch Season One).

Let's put it this way you will have seen this film and variants many times. It is however effectively handled by Lance Comfort.

I make it a practice to stop reading or watching anything containing the sadistic murders of children and/or animals. This show's barbaric slaughter of the Village madman's German Shepherd left me shocked and sickened.

The same exact year British model turned actress Christina Gregg played a fifteen-year-old girl being seduced by a man on a payphone in DON'T TALK TO STRANGE MEN, she was the twenty-something sister of a cutthroat convict who made THE BREAK from a fast-moving train...Then kills a guard and like the handful of eclectic characters, all wind up...

If you enjoy police mysteries that do not rely on chance and convenient plot devices, this is for you. It isn't the same style as The Bridge, Broadchurch, or Hinterland, but the quality is as good.

Pity to see such stupid girls with such stupid behaviours , great serie without them. Most of actors are really bad casted.

Maybe we should put a ban on adding a second season after a first was successful. With this series again, I enjoyed Season 1 which was dark, intriguing and intelligent.
