Love the movie and the character development. Watch it with my kids and my girls love it as much as me.

Am I the only Australian to review this on IMDb? A rapid scroll through the offerings would seem that this is true.

Journalist Stephen Maclean was raised by his mother as she worked in a Melbourne pub and had an early career as a child actor. He wanted to make an Australian musical and ended up working with Gillian Armstrong (My Brilliant Career, the 1994 version of Little Women) and production designer Brian Thomson (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment).

Fun comedy musical with a quirky mix of retro kitsch and early 1980s New Wave music and styles.Bright and talented aspiring singer Jackie Mullens (played by the bright and talented Jo Kennedy) wants to make it in showbiz, aided and abetted by her precocious 14-year-old cousin/manager/songwriter Angus (Ross O'Donovan).

Definitely one of cinema's best and under-recognized musical classics. i've loved this movie dearly since i first had the pleasure of seeing and hearing it back in 1982.

Honestly, the best DCOM since very long time. It has everything..

I love this movie like a lot. A real descent DCOM which sends great message to kids and teens esp.

StarStruck is not the best movie I have ever seen, but I was really surprised at how much I liked it. I will be honest, I was actually expecting it to not be very good from what I saw of the trailer.

Starstruck is a pretty average Disney film. To be honest I wasn't extremely hyped when I first say the trailer back in 2010, but I decided to watch it anyway because it was on a Friday night and I had nothing else to do.
