I took the time to watch The Arc of Truth a while back and couldn't watch more than a little less than a half an hour of it. The acting was practically non existent.
Not make movies do a great job at the whole "bad guys on the brink of winning and killing all the heroes until the very last second when the miracle happens" kind of story line, but this movie did an amazing job at exactly that. Great storyline, they tied up all the loose ends (even bringing back some old characters from the series that you might wonder what happened to), and they made it all work nicely.
The wrapped up nicely from the questions left at the end of the TV series, but still left plenty of openings for the next Stargate movie.While the production was top notch as I would expect, it did feel very much like an extended episode rather than a blockbuster movie, which is essentially what this was, a way to wrap up questions and not leave fans hanging for answers...
This movie is seriously bad. Tonns of things make absolitely no sense, and you can tell it was rushed just to wrap up the Ori storyline.
This is a very good film... Recommend that you watch seasons 9 and 10 before this film.
What else can I say? Pvedder's review is spot on.
If you watch it as a joke you might enjoy it. It's very overrated.
An Arc of Truth may have been used on SG-1 writers. Everything lost from Stargate SG-1 in the final season and especially in the final episode was back for this movie.
So clearly I liked the movie. I gave it an 8/10.
