Goofs

In the shots of when Peter (as the Black Spider-Man) meets Harry on Harry's balcony, Peter's hair can be seen changing positions between two shots.

Whenever Spidey removes his mask, his costume (red or black) has a turtleneck collar that goes up to the middle of his neck.

Whenever his costume is shown underneath his clothes, the collar is much lower.

Beginning with the "Fever" scene in the jazz club, MJ's heels fluctuate between fairly high and almost flat a number of times during the time she's wearing the black/white outfit.

When Peter Parker takes Gwen Stacy to the jazz bar, you can clearly hear drums and cymbals when Peter is dancing, but the drummer in the background is only tapping his drumsticks together.

When Peter attends Mary Jane's opening performance and then takes her to the park, he's wearing a light blue shirt that changes from "button-down" collar style (unbuttoned - you can see the buttons under the collar flaps) to "plain" collar and back to button-down (unbuttoned again, but you can't see the buttons this time).

When Eddie dashes through the doors to Jameson's office, Miss Brant picks up the phone.

In the very next shot she is in the background looking at Eddie and Jameson, but is no longer holding the phone.

When Peter and Mary Jane are lying in Peter's spider web near the beginning of the movie, as the scene is zooming out you can clearly see a strand of web made out of chain near the bottom of the screen.

Before the final battle, when the crowd looks up at Spidey swinging in toward the building, the fireman at the left of the screen picks up the same child three times.

A part of the movie features the Cleveland Trust Rotunda in the background where one can easily read "Cleveland Trust" inscribed on the Romanesque structure, although the movie is supposed to be set in New York city.

Two other unique Cleveland landmarks are also briefly visible - Terminal Tower, and the marquee entrance to Playhouse Square Center.

When Spiderman is being pummeled by the Sandman while being held down by Venom, underneath his eye, his mask is being held together by a couple of pieces of thread.

When he is shown in later scenes, though, his mask has about 3/4 of an inch of fabric left holding it together.

When Peter goes to tell Aunt May he is going to propose to Mary Jane, Aunt May starts to hug Peter with her head over his left shoulder.

In the next shot from another angle, her head has shifted to Peter's right shoulder.

When Mary Jane is performing her song at the beginning of the film, and the audience applaud after the first couple of lines, the audience can be seen remaining quite still, not clapping, though great applause can be heard.

During the scene when Peter visits Aunt May, she takes milk out of the refrigerator to put into her coffee.

The next scene has it disappear without her turning back or going to the refrigerator.

When the cop holding a shovel is walking on top of the sand in the truck concealing Sandman, you can see the right hand edge of the platform used to stop him sinking into the sand.

He stops right at the edge of the platform to raise the shovel.

Shadow of camera briefly visible in the scene where the symbiote is getting ready to "attack" Peter Parker on the bed.

When Peter goes to Harry's house, and fights with him, Harry gets thrown out of the window; notice his left shoulder.

First there are no pieces of glass; in the shot after there are two pieces of glass; in the next shot, they are gone again.

In the final fight the amount of mask on Peter's face and chin after it is ripped changes.

When Spider-Man goes to chase Sandman into the storm-drain, after Sandman robs the bank, Spider-Man tears the grate out of the street.

It's ripped out roughly along with some concrete around the grate.

When the camera angle cuts to looking up from the storm sewer, there is a nice square hole as if the grate was lifted out neatly.

During the final fight scene, MJ's tie changes from a short necktie to a normal tie and back again.

The Sandman throws a cop from the top of the sand truck, and he lands on a car.

An interior shot of the car shows the windshield shattering, but exterior shots show the windshield still intact.

When Harry and MJ are cooking together, after the food gets spilled, the two of them look at each other, and MJ puts her hand on the left side of Harry's face.

In the next shot, it's on the right side.

In the scene at Peter's apartment building the first time after he yells at his landlord, Peter places a call on the pay phone.

First you can hear the coins dropping right through to the coin return as Peter drops them in, then there is no sound of the coins being returned when Peter hangs up the phone.

The first time Peter calls M.

her voice message says 'Hi, it's M.

, sing your song at the beep.

Beep!".

Later in the film he calls her again and her message now goes'Hi, it's me, sing your song at the beep!' with the phone providing the second beep.

While it possible she changed her voice message in the interim, this is more likely a continuity error.

In the scene where Harry and Peter meet in the coffee shop, just past Peter's left shoulder, the same three extras (two females together with winter scarves and a male holding a cup) can be scene looping to and from the counter, several times.

When Harry is lying unconscious on the ground and Peter is trying to revive him, Harry's head changes position between shots without Peter touching it.

Right after the crane wipes out the first floor of the building where Gwen is, you can see Gwen go over and help one of the other models up.

That same girl is shown running around Gwen to safety.

In the very next shot, the crane is seen coming back and the girl is once more behind Gwen.

Peter wants to propose to Mary Jane in a fancy restaurant.

He has a diamond ring put in a glass of champagne.

When he retrieves the ring, we can quite clearly see that there is no fizz in the glasswhat we see is white wine, not champagne.

The main camera Eddie shoots on is a Nikon D50, which is a digital SLR (the LCD screen of the camera complete with "Nikon" logo at the bottom is also visible for a short time in one scene).

Although it's a digital camera, it makes a distinct sound, like a mechanical film feed.

In fact this is the sound of the reflex mirror moving for each shot, which all SLR cameras (digital or not) make.

When Harry and Peter are playing basketball in Harry's house, Peter hits the vase.

When Harry grabs the basketball the ball is apparently sticking to his fingertips.

Holding a basketball like this is difficult, but not impossible for a very-skilled basketball player (or someone with Harry's newfound superhuman abilities.

) When Peter takes Gwen to the jazz club and they sit at the table, you can clearly see 'Willem Dafoe' (qv) (who died as Norman Osborn in _Spider-Man (2002)_ (qv)) sitting and enjoying himself as an extra at the table behind them.

(This use of major cast members doubling as extras is a director-trademark of 'Sam Raimi' (qv), which recalls his first low-budget movies.

) Before Peter and Harry have their fight at the Osborn mansion, Harry pours himself a martini and is still holding it when he turns around to talk to Peter.

After Peter punches him, the martini disappears.

In the bell tower when Peter's tearing the black suit off, there is a shot from behind where he goes to slam his right fist down, but it's his left fist that lands.

The first time the Symbiote covers Peter's Spider Man suit and "copies" it, Peter isn't wearing the spider man mask, however the symbiote copies the mask exactly, as if Peter were wearing it.

However, considering the symbiote affects his mind and amplifies his emotions, it's possible the symbiote copied the suit from Peter's memory.

Eddie Brock is the new guy trying to get a job at the Bugle, but in _Spider-Man (2002)_ (qv), Jameson and Robertson talk about a photographer named Eddie who already works for the Bugle.

However, they never said Eddie Brock, so "reintroducing" the character does not break continuity.

When the jazz band starts to play "Stormy Weather", the first note of the drum part is a striking of the snare drum with a brush, but we don't see the drummer move his arm to play this note.

When Harry is looking down at Peter from the balcony when Mary Jane is singing in Broadway and Peter is singing along, Mary Jane sings one thing and Peter mouths another.

Captain Stacy is shown wearing a variety of medals above his shield (badge).

The green bar with gold stars, and the plain green bar should be worn at the TOP of his shield, above all the other bars, (not halfway down), as they represent the Medal of Honor and the Combat Cross.

(The NYPD's Highest and Second-Highest awards).

When the Sandman throws a car into the street, it clearly hits one car that turns sideways, then goes through the center of the street.

Two cars behind the first hit, however, are pushed to the side, and the mechanism pipe that moves the cars is clearly visible.

After Peter leaves Aunt May and is on his little yellow bike, when Harry swoops down to knock Peter off, Peter's red helmet flies off behind him a split second before he is actually hit.

The explosion when Venom was killed between the metal pipes looks quite unrealistic - it's blast radius doesn't even reach Spider-Man as is somehow limited by the circle of pipes, which have deformed from the explosion.

The same grenade, when Spider-Man threw it to Harry, did clearly more damage.

After Spider-Man and Green Goblin 2 rescue Mary Jane from the fall, and Goblin sarcastically asks Spider-Man and Mary Jane if they're busy, his scarification is missing.

- PLOTWhen Spider-man shows up for the main fight scene, a lady holding a girl says "look!" and everyone turns around to see him.

But the lady and girl are facing the other direction, so she couldn't have seen Spider-man coming.

In the scene at Peter's apartment building the first time after he yells at his landlord, Peter places a call on the pay phone.

First you can hear the coins dropping right through to the coin return as Peter drops them in, but there is no sound of the coins being returned when Peter hangs up the phone.

During the scene when Mary Jane is trapped high above the building inside the cab car after being captured by Venom, it begins to drop from the weight being held by the black webbing.

As it tumbles down for a moment, 'Kirsten Dunst' (qv) is seen acting in terror, but actually smiling and laughing during the shot.

Seeing as how the symbiote can mimic clothing, why does Peter bother buying clothes during the montage sequence? In the fight scene towards the end of the film Harry makes the comment to Peter "I protected you all through high school.

" However in _Spider-Man (2002)_ (qv) Harry is being dropped off by his dad at Peter's school for the first time after "being thrown out" of every private school his father tried to enroll him in.

How was Harry protecting Peter if they weren't in the same school? During Peter and Harry's brawl, Peter is grappling with Harry on the floor and when Peter jumps up from lying on his back, an acrobat's cable can be seen on Peter's back.

When the police are searching for the Sandman in the sand truck, you can see the cover covering the truck is tied down by multiple cords, and yet the officer unties only one cord and the whole thing comes off when he pulls it.

- PLOTThe final edit doesn't show how Brock knows about Marko's daughter (this plot hole is explained in a deleted scene on the DVD.

) Several scenes show police officers having an "N.

Police Department" patch instead of the actual patch which would read "Police Department, City of New York".

In addition, the real police officers (non actors) can be seen wearing the genuine patch in scenes filmed on location in New York.

In the scene just before Mary Jane throws a hollow brick onto Eddie's head, his back is briefly shown where it can be seen that he is not wearing any dress under his venom suit.

But later at the end when Spider-man tries to save Eddie by pulling him out, his dress comes back on him.

Very good movie, the action was spectacular! The Villans were well thought up, and the entire movie just all comes together.

Third and last(?) film in this trilogy isn't as good as the first two, mainly because the plot is overly contrived, but I still found this to be very entertaining and filled with good action and character development.

This installment of the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies pulls out all the stops. The original cast returns where they left off, with Peter Parker in a happy relationship with Mary-Jane, and for his grand finale, he has to battle not one, not two, but three comic book villains!

There is probably going to be lots of disagreement here, but I think this is the best Spider-Man movie out of Sam Raimi's trilogy.Spider-Man 3 picks off where Spider-man 2 ended: with Peter Parker and MJ dating, growth of popularity as Spiderman, but of course, there are some problems.

Spier-man 3. Where do I even begin?

The (thankfully) last Tobey Maguire/Spiderman movie. This has him ready to marry fiancée Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) but things (LOTS of things) start to happen.

I just re-watched Venom (2018) and then I decided to re-watch Spiderman 3 so I did. I enjoyed the movie from start to finish.

The spider-man movie series is simply the best superhero movie series ever. The first instalment was great, the second was even better.
