Goofs

The gun Frank takes from Jesse's truck is an old-fashioned six shooter, yet he fires off at least 20 rounds without reloading during the shootout at the gas station.

Karen is wearing a slightly different top as she climbs the fence to the one she wears before and after (straps are wider).

When Frank is pulled over the Trooper asks for "license and registration".

In Texas registration is displayed on the windshield on the driver's side.

In Texas law enforcement officers ask for license and proof of insurance during a traffic stop.

A stage light and the camera operator are reflected on the side of Frank's car when he reverses to pick up Karen.

Multiple indications such as Joshua trees and mountains show that filming took place in the southern California desert instead of Texas.

Frank jacks his slide-action shotgun repeatedly without having fired it.

He would be ejecting live rounds.

At 57:48 Frank's revolver hammer is cocked.

At 58:10, the hammer is down.

At 58:17, hammer is cocked once again.

At 59:09, hammer back down again.

Reviews

The one thing that spoiled it for me was him shooting a car and it exploded. Cars donnotvexplode from gunshots.

I've watched more time travel movies than I can remember. They've all been interesting but this one sticks in my mind as the one I like the most.

A good movie is meant to have it all. It definitely delivered a great storyline on action, suspense, and some amazing shots.

Considering watching a movie made in 1997 made in wild boondocks desert, it has comedy and thrill. But watching it it covid yea 2020 Starring Jim Belushi from the famous John Belushi family.

It's a movie with these actors at the prime in their prime. The plot is quite simple, but expands on the back-in-time concept with vastly different dynamic changes in the timeline.

I loved the whole idea of the stranded motorist being picked up by a crazy guy, and the dynamic among the characters as the story rolls out. There are themes of unresolvable domestic disputes between Frank and Rayanne, the instinct to start off this story with this basic idea is a good one, we can identify with the characters.

Kind of wondering how I missed this movie in 1997 yet I found and viewed the same off the wall style movie called U-Turn. It's all in the promo I guess, if there is not enough then hopefully you just get lucky and find the hidden gems such as this.

At the beginning, the scientist has sent a dead rat back in time.

This is a good time travel premise. Think Source Code in the desert.
