While the scenes are shot really well, due in large part to the beautiful locales selected and the clear talent of the cinematographer, the script itself is predictable. It would be great to see this duo take on something meatier with more substance and less gimmick.
Andrew Chen is a fascinating storyteller, and in large part because of how he goes about being fascinated by his subject, how his camera roams at times, and at others when he knows to cut between his subjects.Ghost in the Gun is a truly magnificent picture.
