The first time that Darnell goes to Omunique's apartment her large hoop earrings that have her name in script inside the loop are in backwards in her right ear.

When the Baltimore Police are chasing Durell and LeeJohn's van, we can see a large billboard for DJ BIG BOY, a DJ for Los Angeles radio station Power 106, in the background.

In the first church scene, when the choir finishes singing the spiritual, there is a wide shot of the church congregation.

It is not often that I use the word "bigot" but I just saw this movie and when I saw that over 36% of IMDb voters gave it a "1", bigotry came to mind. With another 16% giving it a "10" that means that over half of the people rating this film have done a disservice to the IMDb community.

The Eagles were thumping the Cowboys and the Jaguars wanted us to watch them lose again instead of letting us see Miami beat the Jets, so I checked out this film knowing that I probably wouldn't like it.Now, I was totally satisfied watching Malinda Williams (Idlewild, "Soul Food") trying to keep from spilling out of that form fitting outfit she had on for the entire 96 minutes, so it wasn't a total waste.

This 2008 movie wasn't a particularly outstanding comedy. Sure, it had some nice moments here and there, and there were some rather interesting aspects to the storyline as well.

So you're settled in for a night on the Netflix. oooh, what's this?

The last 30-40 of the movie really gets good. But other than that..

I think the comedy was ok, but the message was better.....to see Cube portray what a lot of fathers face everyday was key....

As a whole, First Sunday follows every feel-good/do the right thing of this comedic drama, the comments of race aside but I'll get back to that. This is more a review of reviews.

Let me start off with the downsides of this movie. There was a lot of unbelievable material, and it got so out of hand at times that I really couldn't enjoy it for how ridiculous it was being.

First Sunday is about two losers played by Ice Cube and Tracey Morgan. The two guys go through life getting in trouble with the law again and again.
