...and it didn't get any better the second time.

No real twists to the plot in this film, could have been better written. Surprised that someone convicted of murder in the USA can get parole after 6 years, so feels a little fake there.

I would say "spoiler alert" but the movie title does that for you. On top of that, the characters feel 2-dimensional, shallow, and do things that are completely illogical throughout the movie (like pick up murder weapons unnecessarily).

This film is about a woman who is convicted of murdering her husband. She later finds out that her husband is still alive, which starts her quest to prove her innocence.

I would've given this movie a higher rating, but I just wasn't convinced by Judd's character. Tommy Lee Jones is amazing, and fun as usual, but Judd is just a Dudd!

A bit of a classic for me, since I've watched this one at least five times, and it's still an attractive film, not in the least because it has the fair and intense Ashley Judd and the ever charismatic Tommy Lee Jones in the leads. The story and the way it is told reminds me of many, many classic crime dramas that preceded it a nicely built up story, but nowhere shocking and hardly extraordinary.

Interesting storyline, but the actual making of the movie is very laughable at some parts.

I thought this movie was watchable. I got distracted while watching it, which also kind of proves how average it was.

This is a truly brilliant film which moves at pace and the story line is straightforward. Ashley Judd is one of the best actors of the modern era.
