When General Oliver is beginning to pick himself off the ground after the Apache attack on the military wagon train, the first shot shows the ground to be mostly desert sand, with very little vegetation.

But when the scene jumps to a long shot of the General getting up the ground around him is almost entirely covered with green vegetation, showing scarcely any sand at all.

I was rooting for John in this movie to succeed in his plan. I knew that wasn't going to happen but the movie had Christian Slater going up against him.

Plot: Terrorists steal nuclear warheads from the U.S.

What a refreshing western! I'm not generally enamoured of the genre, but what really struck me in "Broken Arrow" was the portrayal of the Apache people.

First of all, this is a groundbreaking film from the early fifties about racial tolerance and peace disguised as a beautifully scenic Technicolor western starring James Stewart, Jeff Chandler and Debra Paget. Then it turns out to have been written by Albert Maltz one of the original Hollywood Ten who was blacklisted for not naming names at HUAC (the House Unamerican Activities Committee) hearings in the late forties.

Travolta and Slater star as pilots who have a mission to fly a plane with nuclear weapons for test run.Overacting, Travolta attempts to kill Slater and steal the weapons, but that would finish the movie early, and it's a Woo movie, so we need a little bit of slow motion gun-play...

The rapper O.T.

Some movie never be like good old wine.. This movie taste old, looks old but is tastless and is completly unwatchable..

If you're looking for a traditional cowboys and indians film, then this might not be for you. Sure, there are the odd confrontations between the ever expanding white man and the Apache braves, but this is essentially a more cerebral look at the efforts both sides made to find an enduring peaceful solution.

"Broken Arrow" was my first John Woo movie, so you can imagine the impact of such an action virtuoso on a 15 year-old's mind and the soft spot I've had for this movie ever since. It created quite the thirst.
