Pioneer cinematographer, active from early silent days. Prolific work for Fox (and, later, 20th Century Fox), with a lengthy career from 1925 to 1950. Co-recipient (with Ray Rennahan )of an Oscar for Best Cinematography for Blood and Sand . Retired after 1960.
Not to be confused with British cinematographer Ernest Palmer .
British cinematographer, sometimes credited as H.E. Palmer. Active at Elstree in the 1930s and at Ealing in the early 40s. Later worked in television. Not to be confused with American cinematographer Ernest Palmer.
