Played for the University of Wisconsin - Superior Yellowjackets for four years.
Prior to playing for UWS, he played for the South Surrey Eagles of the BCHL. He was captain of the team during their 1997-1998 season when they won the BCHL Coastal Division with a regular season record of 43-15-2 and a playoff record of 25-3. Kris and his teammates won 4 cups throughout those playoff: the BCHL Subway Cup, Mowat Cup, Doyle Cup, and Royal Bank Cup.
While playing for the University of Wisconsin Superior, 1998-2002, had 21 goals and 30 assists in 85 games total. He assisted his team in winning the 2002 NCAA Division 3 Title. He is also ranked #1 in All-time Penalty Minutes for the University of Wisconsin Superior with 421 minutes.
Coached the Bantam AA Northwest Admirals (Seattle Junior Hockey Association) from 2005-2007.
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the Seattle Junior Totems (Northern Pacific Hockey League).
