Singer, actress and composer who has made many records and performed in theatres, night clubs, films and television. She joined ASCAP in 1953 and her popular-song compositions include "Be Good to Yourself"; "My Love and I"; and "It's a Sin to Cry Over You".
Her father was a professional wrestler billed as "The Terrible Turk".
