Daughter of Claire van Kampen and Chris van Kampen and step daughter of Mark Rylance.
Won a 2010 OBIE Award for Best Actress, for playing Rosalind in The Bridge Projects production of "As You Like It", directed by Sam Mendes.
Nominated for a Lucille Lortell Award for Best Actress, for playing Desdemona in Theatre for a New Audiences "Othello".
