Armin Mueller-Stahl (born 17. December 1930 in Tilsit) is a well known German actor, musician, painter and author. He is the only German actor to have been sucessfull in both German states as well as in Hollywood.
Turned down the offer to play Prof. Klaus Brinkmann in "Die Schwarzwaldklinik" .
Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Member of jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2006.
Got a 3-minute standing ovation when he received the Honorary German Film Award.
