Yasha Malekzad was born and raised in Norfolk/Suffolk, England, and is of Persian and English decent. Born into a creative family of dancers and musicians he pursued a career as a music producer and graduated from De Montfort University with an Honors degree in Music Production and Innovation. Whilst making a living DJing and selling records he accidentally fell into the world of film, first through producing Music Videos and then by directing them. Yasha always demonstrated great technical ability through his Music Production, which has been transfered into his film making and has given him the reputation of being a very hands on director. Now having worked with popular music artists including Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Dev, Tinchy Stryder, Ludacris, The Wanted, Paulina Rubio and actresses such as Sharon Stone and Christina Ricci his work has been credited for it's sophistication and innovative approach.
Yasha Malekzad holds a black belt in the art of Kuk Sool Won and won several gold medals in the European Chapionships.
