William J Saunders . Saunders began his non-fiction career at NFL Films, directing and editing documentaries for HBO, FOX, ABC, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network and the BBC. While at NFL Films Saunders won an EMMY Award in the Outstanding Long Feature category for his documentary, Big Charlie's. His first feature film, Sweet Little Lies, about a young girls quest to find her father, was acquired for distribution by Film Works Entertainment and released in early 2012. His documentary Billy Mize and the Bakersfield Sound was picked up by Film Independent as one of 8 documentaries in their 2012 fellowship program. Saunders is a member of the San Francisco Film Society, International Documentary Association and the Directors Guild of America.
