The versatile actor continued his career after the second world war and was convincing with his fine acting.

He made his theater debut in 1922 with the play "Frhlings Erwachen", it followed engagements in Hamburg, Zrich and Berlin.

Werner Hinz remained true to the theater till the old age.

In the 60s and especially in the 70s and 80s he concentrated his main activity to the theater and TV.
