Supporting actor in silent screen comedies. Previously worked with stock companies in the Southwest and in Canada. With Keystone from 1914. Occasional directing credits for Fox. From the 1920s, appeared in feature films, including a number of westerns.
His Canadian World War I enlistment papers show that he was color blind.
March 1929 Trade Paper articles announced that Wallace MacDonald had been signed for a role in the forthcoming Tiffany-Stahl Picture "Midway". Eventually he was replaced and did not appear in the film.
