Is a founding member of LAByrinth Theater Company in New York City.
Was painted by the internationally acclaimed illustrator and poster designer James McMullan for Lincoln Center Theaters poster of the 2006 production of "The Clean House".
She enjoys oil painting.
Has enjoyed traveling abroad to Paris, Avignon, Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Rome, Florence, Lima, and Cusco. Aspillaga has also enjoyed traveling and living for varying lengths of time in California, Washington State, Idaho, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, D.C., Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
Is fluent in Spanish, and can converse in Portuguese, Italian and French.
Niece of Patricia Aspllaga.
A finalist for the 2003 New Dramatists Playwriting Fellowship with the first play she wrote entitled "Hush," this was to be her first foray into writing.
