Tony Slattery is an actor, comedian, and singer best known for his seven years as a regular on the UK improvisational comedy _"Whose Line Is It Anyway?" , and Whose Line Is It Anyway? are some of the many shows Tony has been involved with. For personal reasons, Tony took a break from performing for a few years but has recently begun working again. He had a starring role in a feature film and has done a number of projects for the BBC.

He was a member of the Cambridge Footlights and in 1981, along with Stephen Fry , Hugh Laurie , Emma Thompson , Penny Dwyer and Paul Shearer , he became the winner of the first ever Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

A compilation of Cambridge Footlights sketches appears on the "Bit of Fry and Laurie" DVDs. One of these moments was Tony Slattery performing a heartfelt song hed written about the murder of John Lennon, "Im going to shoot somebody Famous".
