Biography

Tony Schweikle was born in Chicago. His mother was a first generation Italian, his father a third generation of German decent. He finished two years of graphic arts at Lake County College IL before he dropped out. Tony Schweikle's first job was for Roger Corman, as a location coordinator on the film Avalanche. He then worked as a location scout, followed by location manager. In 1988, he finished prepping the Colorado/New Mexico portion of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He then accepted the position of assistant film commissioner for the state of Colorado. Five years later and burned out with government work, he resigned and hoped to re-enter film production, but quickly found out that he was out of the loop. In 2009, he re-invented himself and started writing feature length scripts, to date he has completed seven. One of his scripts, Hybrids, was produced in November of 2013, starring Paul Sorvino and Carolyn Hennesy. Completed in November of 2014. Several other scripts have won in competition.

Trivia

Tony and his wife Phyllis have a home in southern Italy where they have lived for the past 12 years. Seven months in Italy and five in the USA. Except when Tony is working in the states. He has produced a documentary and a reality show there.

In 2016, Tony became a dual citizen of the USA and Italy. "Things move slowly. Been waiting since 2012." Also in 2016, Tony acted and directed an Italian short film titled, "Addio AL Pescatore Locally produced with a group of aspiring cast and crew. We will post a social media link for viewing in February 2017.
