Navigator for the ninth B-25 on the Doolittle Raid on Japan, Apr. 18, 1942.
After the Doolittle Raid Tom was sent to Africa for more bombing missions and was captured in 1943 and stayed a P.O.W. of the Germans until April, 1945.
He was on the plane called "The Whirling Dervish".
