Thom Fitzgerald: Since his 1997 feature debut, Thom has won over two dozen international awards including the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television Award and was nominated for Outstanding Set Design. CLOUDBURST was also nominated as Outstanding Production of 2010.
Has been a vegetarian since 1985, when he saw "The Animals Film" narrated by Julie Christie.
Born in New Rochelle Hospital, Westchester County, New York, U.S.A. to Patricia Catherine May and Timothy John Fitzgerald.
Accepted a 2006 Humanitarian of the Year Award from the VSDA (Video Software Dealers Association) on behalf of Lucy Liu, honoring her work with UNICEF, at a ceremony in Las Vegas.
Attended a Special Screening of "3 Needles" at the United Nations in New York, along with Tea Leoni, Eve, Stockard Channing, Shawn Ashmore, Lucy Liu and AIDS researcher Doctor David Ho, on December 1, 2006.
Was given the Bertha Mekas Award at the 2006 New York AIDS Film Festival for "3 Needles".
