Biography

Started learning to play the violin at the age of six in Kharkov, Ukraine. Continued her studies in St. Petersburg and at the Central Music School in Moscow. Graduated from the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Laureate of numerous international competitions. In 1976 became a member of the rock group "Boomerang", and then became a member of roch group “Forpost”. In 1982 founded "The Academy of Ancient Music", the first baroque ensemble in the former USSR with authentic performance manner playing original instruments. Ensemble succesfully participated in International festivals of old music woldwide. Worked together with Gidon Kremer. In 1999 T. Grindenko formed the Opus Posth ensemble especially to realise the project "The New Sacred Space" based on a concept of the composer Vladimir Martynov.
