Tamara Mello began acting in a community theater as a child. She was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and made her professional debut as a guest star on Boy Meets World . Following 2 seasons on Popular Tamara continued to work in theater, film and television before taking several years off to raise her daughter. She has recently returned to acting and lives in Los Angeles.
She began acting in high school, but thought it would be too daunting to pursue as a career. While studying anthropology during her first year of college, an agent saw her performing in a local stage production of "Agnes of God" and encouraged her to try her luck in Los Angeles, California. She made her screen acting debut as a guest star on "7th Heaven" She was a regular in ABCs "Nothing Sacred" as Rachel, a Catholic who has a controversial abortion. She also guest-starred on "Boy Meets World" and the WBs comedy series "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane" . Among her feature film credits are Shes All That Carlos Wake , and the thriller Spanish Judges .
She is of French, Portuguese, and Latino descent.
Has a daughter, Olivia Cascardo , with her husband Paolo Cascardo.
