Biography

TG's love of film started at an early age behind the lens of a Bell and Howell Super 8 camera given to him by his father. His career now spans some 20 years and includes work all over the world, in all aspects of filmmaking. Beginning as a commercial editor and visual effects designer in Los Angeles, TG landed post/editorial work for notable advertising campaigns like the Budweiser Frogs and Pepsi's Super Bowl commercial Boy In a Bottle. This led to high profile international commercials where TG worked with Brad Pitt and even found himself in the director's chair for an Asian television company working with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. In time, TG became known as a behind-the-scenes "fixer" who collaborated with such notable directors as David Fincher, Michel Gondry, Simon West and Michael Bay. He parlayed these relationships into long form medium work including episodic work on the critically acclaimed Fox TV series, Keen Eddie, and more recently editorial duties on the feature film The Mechanic, directed by Simon West in New Orleans and stars Jason Statham and Donald Sutherland. As a child who spent his summers in New Orleans, TG became enamored with the city and its characters. It seemed like fertile creative ground with a story unfolding at every street corner. His love of the city lead him to partner with Executive Producer George Hutchison on Nom De Guerre films and New Orleans native, Kyle Curry, on Maison Post, a post-production studio that is currently undertaking commercial's and the recently wrapped feature film "The Campaign", a Warner Brothers Film starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. So what does TG do in his spare time?...what else? ...Filmmaking. He is writing and directing with an emphasis on themes and characters reflected in his Southern roots. He recently sold his film The Free State Of Jones to Universal Studios and Director Gary Ross of The Hunger Games fame. His first directorial oeuvre, Mr. Okra, a short-film documentary about a colorful New Orleans character, traveled the festival circuit and grabbed audience choice awards at the New York Food Film Fest, Dallas Intl. Film Fest., Nashville Fest. and the Austin Film Fest. It was an official selection for Sundance, Toronto, and Cannes film festivals. TG is currently working on three new film projects to be lensed in New Orleans.
