Biography

Stewart Shields has found success as a line producer, production manager, assistant director, camera assistant and grip/electrician. Stewart's desire to be behind the camera began at age 4, while spending time with a close family friend and news anchor who introduced him to cameras and lighting. Ever since then, Stewart has found creative ways to employ his love of the outdoors and diverse skills as a SCUBA divemaster, rock climber, outdoor enthusiast and drummer - all in the film and television industry. Stewart has been actively employed in entertainment since age 23. In 1998, he moved to Los Angeles and began work as an Assistant Director on independent films and reality television programs. His experience with cameras and production equipment, teamed with his skills in the outdoor adventure industry, have been instrumental in Stewart's producing for networks like CBS, NBC, A&E, Lifetime, BBC, TLC, Style, Discovery, Animal Planet, FX, History Channel and more. He's spent the last 4 years as Line Producer on shows ranging from home remodeling on TLC's successful franchise Flip that House to adrenaline-filled shows like Discovery's Shark Week Deadly Waters and Animal Planet's Venom in Vegas. Stewart utilizes his recognized managerial, scheduling and financial skills while running multiple projects and managing budgets up to $14 million. Crews, producers and clients consistently and favorably remark on his ability to successfully balance both the physical production and the personality aspects of projects.
