Biography

Steve Bastoni is one of Australia's most versatile and respected actors, he has a string of impressive credits to his name including the Emmy award winning On the Beach, Matrix Reloaded and the Water Diviner to name a few. His performance as Alfredo in 15 Amore garnered an AFI award nomination for Best Actor in a leading role and resulted in Bob Ellis comparing him to Marlon Brando and Anthony Quinn in their prime. His portrayal of Michael Drury in the classic mini-series Blue Murder is worthy of the critical acclaim it received, as are his many stage credits including his turn as Bill Sykes in Cameron Macintosh's Oliver. His portrayal of Wayne in Ben Elton's Popcorn was chillingly exact and resulted in a green room award nomination.
