Half-sister of Claudia Winkleman.
Studied English Literature at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University. During her studies she was a member of the Footlights Comedy Club and toured in the award-winning revue "Far Too Happy" which she also co-wrote.
Went to the same school as Romola Garai - City of London School for Girls.
Is a Soprano.
