Name "Slipknot" was brought up by Jordison. Slipknot are 9 members; after the death of Paul Gray on May 24, 2010 and Jordison's departure shortly before the announcement of .5: The Gray Chapter, Alessandro Venturella and Jay Weinberg were brought in to fill in for the two respectively.
