Gambian-Malian Kora player born 1922 in Bansang, Gambia, migrated back to Mali in the 60th to Kita, became a member of the Kaira-mouvement, was a member of the [a=Ensemble Instrumental national du Mali] and made several other albums : - Cordes Anciennes - Première Anthologie De La Musique Malienne, with [a=Batourou Sekou Kouyate] , 1970 - Ba Togoma, 1987 (with young [a=Kandia Kouyate] and [a=Djelimadi Cissoko n 2]) - rythmes et chants du Mali, 1978, with his own ensemble. Sidiki Diabaté died 1996 in Bansang. His uncle was [a=Amadu Bansang Jebateh], and he's the father of [a=Toumani Diabaté] and [a=Madou Sidiki Diabaté].
