When that film was shelved he took the pictures of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol , put it on the CD cover and released the soundtrack songs of the film. People were fooled into believing that Shahrukh and Kajol had starred in this unreleased film. This was done to increase the sales of the CD.

In 1998 Shekhar Kapur was going to direct a movie titled "Maut Se Jo Darte Nahin" Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Sunil Shetty, Scripted by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The film got shelved.
