Father of Jenny Dare Paulin.
Son-in-law of actor Wendell K. Phillips. His mother-in-law, Jean Shelton , who ran an acting school in San Francisco, introduced him to future wife, Wendy Phillips.
He and actress/wife Wendy Phillips played husband and wife on the mini- series "A Year in the Life" .
Majored in Government at Pomona College, in Claremont, California, graduating in 1971.
