Holds a B.A. in philosophy and acting from Morehouse College, as well as a Masters in Acting from NYU. Was a staple of NYC's Nuyorican Poets Cafe, where he honed his skill, drawing from old-school hip-hop and African griot-style storytelling. Has since also performed with progressive hip-hop acts like KRS-One and The Roots and punk rockers Rage Against The Machine.
