At the age of 9, Sandy Fury appeared on the 70s revival of The Dinah Shore Show, "Dinah!" with her North Miami Jr High School marching band "The Green Machine" where they performed on the sand in Miami Beach. Sandy was part of the Drum Corps and played the cymbals. KC & the Sunshine Band appeared on this same episode.
Sandy Fury was an original member of the rock band, "The Orchids", when she was only 13 years old. "The Orchids" were formed by Laurie McAllister (bass player for The Runaways with Joan Jett, Lita Ford, & Sandy West), and Runaways producer, Kim Fowley.
