Biography

Sam is a third generation actor and spent much of his childhood watching his father make a success of himself in the exciting world of 1980's musical theatre. Sam came to love singing with bands when growing up in Brighton, once entertaining 6000 people in front of Pavilion during the world famous Brighton Festival. But it was a trip to the Theatre Royal in 1997 to see Anthony Sher as Cyrano De Bergerac that ignited Sam's passion for so called "straight" acting. After training for three years at the renowned Arts Education Schools in West London, Sam started out from drama school with ambitions as a classical actor. However, realising that his versatility as an all-round character actor was his greatest strength he began broadening his horizons. As of 2010, Sam has racked up credits in film, fringe theatre, cabaret, radio, voice-overs and corporate events. Probably his best known work is as Detective Retro in the award winning Lushtown mini-series. Sam lives in South-West London with his wife Georgie and their son Luke.
