Sally left film in the early 1940s to marry her current husband, Arthur F. Kelly who was president of Western Airlines in the 1970s. His claim to fame is in creating "Wally"...the "Only Way to Fly" bird!

They have two sons and three grandchildren.

Ran a small bookstore in Bel Air called "The Bookworm". She and her son Jim, were both creators in several childrens books.
