Rosa de Castilla was born in Encarnación de Díaz, Jalisco and grew up in Cañada Honda, Aguascalientes. Her eager talent for singing was very evident during her early years. She started out as a ranchera singer but soon entered the film industry after her debut in _El lobo solitario .
It stopped during the 1970s. . . there was a "Golden Age of Mexican,Cinema", but not anymore. .
