Ronald Eaton Giles was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on November 13, 1947. The Son of blue collar parents Henry and Dolores , SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association. His hero is his Father Henry Eaton Giles, whose name appears on the wall of The Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.

Served in Vietnam (April 1966-April 1967) as a Tunnel Rat with A Troop 3/4 Cavalry, 25th Infantry Division and held Top Secret Security Clearance (Post 9/11-full time Army Reserve). Finished Army Reserve career with the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2006 - retired from Active Duty in 2007.

Started acting career in 1968, playing mostly character roles in OOB, Regional, Stock, Community & College theater productions.

In spare time, works as a Volunteer Tour Guide & Oral Historian at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdell, New Jersey.

Worked as Counter Intelligence Sergeant during last six years of Military service.

Has appeared (to date) in 14 Feature films, and in over 50 Student/Short/Independent films produced by New York, Hoffstra, Wesleyan, Fairfield, Drexel and Columbia Universities, Ithica College Film School, The New York Film Academy, Brooklyn College/PBS, the NYC School Of Visual Arts, Sarah Lawrence College and the late John Steele in a variety of leading & supporting character roles.

While serving as an Army Private in Vietnam, he met Entertainer Wayne Newton at a 1966 USO Show. Thirty-seven years later, in 2003 and now serving as an Army Sergeant First Class in the Middle East, he met him again at another USO Show. This time he was asked by Newton to join him on stage to sing "God Bless America" at the close of the show.

Distant relative of the character Actor Leo Carrillo.

Biological father of Brad Hecht.

As of 2008, switched his career goal to singing. He specializes in doing Frank Sinatra & The Great American Songbook tribute shows.

(August 2007) Completed uncredited work as a Precision Car Driver in "The Bourne Ultimatum" and "You Dont Mess With The Zohan". Currently working in the Internet Episodic Series "The Westside"; Series is on temporary hiatus until further notice.

(August 2007) Completed credited supporting role as "Barney" in "Brutal Masacre: A Comedy", starring David Naughton.

(October 2007) Temporarily appearing as "Tony Rigatoni" and understudy for the lead role of "The Godfather") in the New York Dinner Theater Production of "The Godfathers Meshuggener Wedding".

As of November 2007, left New York Dinner Theater. Recently cast in lead role of "Herb" for NYU-Tisch Film School Short Film "Arboretum".

(June 2009) Completed work in lead role of "Grandpa" for the NY School of Visual Arts short film, "Nursing Home". This was his second film for Director Victoria Rivera, and was also the second time he played a Grandfather in one of her films.

(September 2008) No longer accepting any acting offers for the foreseeable future. Has decided to run for the office of the Governor of the State of New Jersey, and will officially announce his candidacy sometime by the end of this month; will run as an Independent Conservative who will reach across ALL Party lines to get the job done.

(September 2007) Completed background work as Barmitzva guest in Nickelodeons "The Naked Brothers Band"; completed featured background work in several key scenes with Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher and Dennis Farina in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, "What Happens In Vegas".

Put Acting career on hold, to focus on pursuing his final lifelong dream of becoming a Cabaret Singer. Singing songs from the 30s, 40s, 50s & 60s, Ronnie has already performed in numerous "Open Mike Nights" at such NYC Cabaret Clubs as Billy Shepard & Judy Jourdans Iguana Club, Brandon Cutrells "The After Party" at the West Bank Cafe, The Duplex, Dont Tell Mama, and the world famous Birdland Jazz Club in Jim Carusos "Monday Night Cast Party".

(April 2012) Regarding his recent diagnosis of C.O.P.D., (Giles) offered the following "turning lemons into lemonade" comment about his singing career: "I can always bring an Oxygen tank on Stage with me AND get tons of sympathy and attention, which is what all Entertainers crave, anyway!"

(February 2009) Completed work in supporting role of the Crazed Landlord, for the Fairfield (CT.) University Short Film "The Music of Erich Zann". Cast in supporting role of untitled Japanese-American feature film, for which shooting begins in March.

(August 2009) Completed work in supporting role of "Bill" for the Short Film "Juvenol", produced by former NBC Newsman Stone Phillips; cast as second lead in the Polish-Brazilian (Christian-based) feature film "Finding Josef", which begins filming September 2009 in Warsaw, Poland.

(November 2009) Created his own two-Man Show "Musical Memories", with friend Lenardo Pacella. Their Act specializes in both of them singing standards from the 30s through the 60s, and is primarily focused on giving free performances for Senior Citizen and Veterans organizations.

(April 2010) Completed supporting role of "Dad" the NYU Thesis Film, "And Sons"; Completed supporting role of "Bud" in the City College of NY Thesis Film, "Perfect Pink".

(September 2009) Began filming in Warsaw over a two-week period on the Polish/Brazilian Christian-based feature film, "Finding Josef"; also served as (Polish location) Script Supervisor and 1st Assistant Director. Additional filming will continue in May 2010.

(February 2010) Completed supporting role of News Executive in the Chris Garraty Spec Screenplay, "Blue Undertow"; Completed supporting role of Campus Police Officer in the Emerson College (Boston) Film, "Dawn".

(June 2010) Continuing his (new) career as a Cabaret Singer in New York City. His favorite songs are those from the 1930s through the 1960s, which are sung in the Spirit of such singing greats as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin & Johnny Mathis. He expects to have his first CD out by early next year.

(April 2009) Completed work in supporting role of Korean War Veteran PFC Pulaski, for the NY School of Visual Arts Documentary Film "America-I Killed For You". This Documentary is meant to bring attention to the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on Veterans and their families; past, present and future.

Returned to Warsaw & Koslovosko Poland, to continue work on "Finding Josef".

Also a professional Singer, Ronnie recently formed the Duo of "The Two Too Old Jerzey Boyz" with his (Lodi, NJ) childhood friend, Paul Speziale. The "Jerzey Boyz"-with Ronnie on vocals, and Paul on Acoustic Guitar and as their Musical Director-specialize in performing classic songs from Jazz, Blues, Popular Music, Bossa Nova and Rock venues. They regularly perform in the NY-NJ area, and give free performances at local Veterans Hospitals. When not working as a soloist or "Jerzey Boyz" member, Ronnie is also the Vocalist for "The String Jazz Society". The SJS consists of Paul Speziale (Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin/Founder and Musical Director), Nick Esposito (Guitar), and Joseph M. Peterson (Upright Bass).
