Hosts the radio show "Rodney on the Roq" after LoveLine on 106.7 KROQ, from midnight to 3 am.
Has appeared as an extra during various 1960s television guest appearances by major rock n roll bands of the era. Auditioned for the role on "The Monkees" that eventually went to Davy Jones , but was so strikingly similar in appearance, he was hired as Davys stand-in on the sitcom.
His nickname, "Mayor of the Sunset Strip", was coined by Sal Mineo.
He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Radio at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on March 9, 2007.
