Biography

Rod trained at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal and the National Arts Centre Young Company in Ottawa. Relying upon the strong foundation provided by Richard Pochinko, the renowned Canadian clown and mask teacher, Rod believes he is well-equipped to ride on the edge of risk to realize the simple joys that acting provides.

Rod was captain of his university football team and an all-conference linebacker.

Rod holds degrees from Carleton University, Concordia University and the University of Oregon.

Teammate with Matt Frewer on the Wakefield Mouton Noir mens senior hockey team.

Rod was a Canadian Immigration Officer for 18 years, with numerous domestic and international assignments, including China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea, UAE, Persian Gulf, Iran, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nigeria and Kenya.

Part-time Instructor in Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures. Extended Learning, University of British Columbia.

Trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, English Acting Section, Montreal QC.

Studied with noted Clown and Mask instructor, Richard Pochinko.

Was a member of the National Arts Centre of Canadas Young Company under Artistic Director Denis Hayes.
