Graduated with honor from the High School of Performing Arts in NYC.
Served four years in the U.S. Navy, two of which were spent handling Navy attack dogs in the Aleutian Islands. The last two landed him in places such as Africa, Australia, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia.
Studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City, under teacher Tara Bolds.
Nearly all of his body is tattooed.
Former acting classmates were Esai Morales and Helen Slater.
A fan of Burt Lancaster , James Cagney , Edward G. Robinson , Lana Turner and Rita Hayworth , the actor confesses, "Movies saved my life".
Placed in a foster home for a period of time as a young child.

A significant break for me was,when I was invited by Steven to participate in a series of films that,to this day are landmark action movies like Hard to Kill and Out For,Justice, both released by Warner Brothers.
