In Jericho Season 2 Episode 6 playing a cop called Bill, he and some others steal army uniforms and hold up an army convoy. Richards uniform was taken from a soldier with the second name Muck as is indicated by the name tag. This is in direct relation to the character Richard Speight plays in Band of Brothers as Sgt. Warren Skip Muck.

There are 37+ Richard Speight Jr. T-shirt designs dedicated to him.

Richards fear of flying on airplane inspired Rob Benedict (of the band Louden Swain) to write a song called "Trigger Finger" (album Sky Alive - released 2015).

Amongst the many charities he supports, Richard is a dedicated supporter of Disabled Veterans of America. Many of RSJ t-shirts (most notably on Creation Stands website) lead to donation to DVA.
