Biography

Actor/writer from Yorkshire, born 14th November 1986 - Before becoming an actor, Richard had an international athletics career where he won seven international medals for TeamGB across the 400m and 4x400m relay events. Richard retired from athletics in 2015 to accept a place at Birmingham School of Acting. Richard has worked on a number of independent films, and combined this with spending time in several theatres and festivals around the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016, where he worked on both established and new material. Richard is best known for Crying Wolf .

Richard Buck has represented the Great Britain athletics team in the 400m and 4x400m relay on numerous occasions. He has won several international medals for his country.

He became a Freeman of the city of York on 21st of October 2013.

Along with his formal Actor Training and MA in Acting from Birmingham School of Acting, Richard has BSc and MSc degrees in Sports Coaching From Leeds Beckett University and Loughborough University.
