Ray Scanlon is a writer/director/actor/producer/editor and amateur cinematographer. Ray has been acting since he was young. In anything from stage play's, to local commercials, short films and low budget full features. Growing up doing these things Ray would write and imagine his own movies. He would write out his own entertainment. Through school he was told by his teachers that he was a very creative and talented writer. Fast forward, many small plays and performances later. Ray decided to go to college to become a lawyer. He loves to read, write and argue his point. Which is exactly what a director does if you strip it down to the basics. While Ray was in college two of his professors cornered him about the papers he had written. They both suggested that he was on the wrong career path and that they believe he would serve better as a writer. Ray never looked back. His writing is first and foremost. His grammar isn't always perfect, but his stories are compelling and destined for the big, or small, screen. He writes his films to sell and directors love producing his style of screenplay. Ray writes everything, and I mean everything. He can take ideas and turn them into full feature, any genre and he stands by this claim; minus LGBT, will tell you he can get his shots in one take. Safety shots, I know, but he nails it the first time and every time after! Ray was extremely blessed with the talent to act out any character that he pleased, as well as write out any type of genre he wanted to. He stands by his word that these are things he can do. He will succumb to any challenge saying he cannot. Besides that, he is waiting on the next big thing.. or his "big break". Like everyone else.
